3 Weekends, Well Spent!

Side Projects

Things I build to learn something new, or to fix a problem of my own. One shipped to the Mac App Store, one went to IEEE, and two won prizes. Each one has a small live sketch of what it does.

The all-seeing eye of a codebase

Polaris

"If I touch this, what breaks?"

Every engineer knows the fear. You change one small function, you push, and three repos away a component falls over. Polaris ends that fear.

  • Reads every function, call, and path across several product repos, and keeps the whole call graph in MongoDB.
  • Walks callers of callers to give a risk score and the full blast radius, before you light the fuse.
  • Sees across the wall: it follows HTTP calls from a Go backend to the exact React components that depend on them, about 315 bridges in its first home.
  • Speaks the product's language: "this change touches billing, auth, and video generation."
  • One link opens a live graph of every touched node. Agents ask it questions over MCP, HTTP, or CLI.

Blurpii

Redact documents securely on your device.

A macOS app that finds personal data across a whole folder of documents with on-device AI. You review and approve; Blurpii re-renders each page and destroys the pixels underneath, then verifies every run with three checks before it exports.

  • Works through a folder at a time, not one file at a time.
  • Repeat mentions of one person become one decision, not fifty.
  • Free for 3 files per batch; Standard and Pro are one-time purchases.

OCI Security Assistant

Dependency upgrades and security fixes, on autopilot.

An internal platform for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure that takes the repetitive part of vulnerability work off engineers' plates, across hundreds of service repositories.

  • Finds outdated or vulnerable dependencies, upgrades them, and tests the change.
  • Raises validated pull requests and triggers development releases through Bitbucket, Jira, and OCI DevOps MCPs, with asynchronous workflows.
  • Cut 25–50% of the manual effort of security vulnerability remediation.

ORMET

Occlusion Resistant Transformer Based Network for Efficient Object Tracking in Satellite Videos.

Small targets in satellite video vanish under clouds and blend into busy backgrounds. ORMET is a transformer-based tracker that fuses appearance and motion features, and uses Kalman filtering to hold on to the target through occlusion and clutter, with superior results on high-resolution satellite video.

  • Final-year project at IIT (BHU) Varanasi, with two classmates.

Dark Pattern Buster

A browser extension that reads a shop page the way a careful shopper would.

A multilingual transformer model detects and classifies 13 kinds of deceptive design, like false urgency and fake scarcity, and highlights them on the page in real time.

  • Built for the Dark Pattern Buster Hackathon, run by India's Department of Consumer Affairs with IIT (BHU): 1,790 teams from 491 institutes. Our team took second prize.
